DESIGN PROJECTS

GRASP OF THE UNKNOWN

I repurposed a painting I had created featuring a real- istic hand, imagining it as an ideal subject for a book cover with a more sinister theme. Again using Photo- shop, I isolated the hand, which was originally painted on a blue background. I then adjusted the color to in- tensify the eerie atmosphere and changed the back- ground to complement the overall tone. The choice of typography was deliberate, selected to enhance the theme I was going for.

TEXTURED TRANQUILITY

I created a mock poster for the Musée d’Arts Con- temporain in Montreal, using a painting of a still life that I had previously completed. The painting itself has a distinctly abstract quality, character- ized by vibrant colors that make it visually com- pelling. To enhance its appeal further, I decided to repurpose it into a poster design for a museum.

DISCOVERIES

I love creating collages, so I decided to do a mixed media piece. Gather- ing various images and words from a magazine, I combined them into a composition. To make it more appealing, I applied layers of acrylic paint to add vibrant colors. The finished piece resembled a magazine cover, which inspired me to further refine it, using Photoshop to achieve a more polished and realistic appearance.

TIS THE SEASON

I created this Christmas card in December 2021, during the pandemic. The drawings were created on SketchPro. The idea was to convey the message of safe-distancing during the Holiday season.

PUREMENT

When I was in high school, I created an advertising poster for Sutton, the ski mountain where I used to ski, using watercolors. The moun- tain’s slogan, “Purement Sutton” served as the focal point of the poster. Recently, I revisited and updated the design to better align with my preference. Utilizing Photoshop, I removed the previous painted words and added the slogan using more refined fonts and colors.
